Noel Park | Wood Green N22 – A little bit of local history

Wood Green has so much to offer when it comes to history and architecture.

Noel Park is possibly the best example of this.  Noel Park is an period Victorian estate of about 2000 terraced houses built between about 1881 to 1927, by the Artizans Labourers and General Dwellings Company.

Grand Designs

Noel Park was the grand design of a man called Rowland Plumbe back in the late 1800’s.  Noel Park features around 2000 properties in 5 different styles, all rich in Victorian architecture.

Rowland Plumbe was employed by The Artisans Labourers and The General Dwellings Co as their chief architect. He had earned himself the status of being one of the top architects of the period, having designed several hospital buildings in the city of London.
