Welcome to the area where the Houses are in ‘The Gardens’

There is a collection of wide – tree lined, residential roads in the heart of Harringay known as ‘The Gardens’ or more accurately, ‘The Harringay Gardens’.

The Harringay Gardens is made up of 13 Roads

Kimberley Gardens | Chesterfield Gardens | Roseberry Gardens | Rutland Gardens | Stanhope Gardens | Warwick Gardens | Cleveland Gardens | Sussex Gardens | Devon Gardens | Essex Gardens | Grafton Gardens | Doncaster Gardens |Portland Gardens

‘The Harringay Gardens’ feature some fantastic period properties. These are mostly; spacious, bay fronted houses, and, as many of the houses are so spacious inside, several of their owners sought planning permission years ago, and converted into ground floor and first floor flats.  There seems to be a good ratio of Houses to flats, with a residents parking system in place.Harringay_Gardens_N4

As you can see from this map of the area, properties in ‘The Harringay Gardens’ are convenient for Finsbury Park, with its open spaces. Purchasers are also attracted to the fact that Manor House tube station can be conveniently reached, making it possible to stick to zones 1 and 2 for commuting.  Nearby Turnpike Lane is in (Zone 3) on the Piccadilly Line.

There is a growing local community spirit in and around Harringay, and the locals have their own website called Harringay Online. This website is a great source of information regarding anything local, from tradesmen and women, to recommended places to eat.  There is even a page where members can share their work/craft skills in return for someone else’s!  Is it any wonder the community is growing stronger?

In fact, the area recently hosted a very successful ‘Food Festival’.  The event was held on Green Lanes itself, and the road was closed and traffic was diverted.  Time Out did a full page feature on this event.

‘The Harringay Gardens’ is a very good place to live, according to many of the locals that live there, and in my opinion, well worth featuring as an area to investigate, especially if you are looking for a property in N4, N8, in Harringay, Finsbury Park, or Manor House.
