After much planning, back breaking work and a massive collective effort among neighbours and friends; proud Hornsey residents have organised the grand opening of their community garden for Saturday the 26th June.
A warm welcome has been extended to anyone who would like to pop along, as it provides the ideal opportunity to see the finished garden and meet a few local folk. They are even laying on some light refreshments.
Ok… it is likely to be a relatively small event and her Majesty the Queen is unlikely to be attending, but it will be full of VIP’s, the ‘Very Important People’ who live nearby and made it all happen! It is a very important local event that marks a great local achievement and a great collective effort!
Why not pop along, show your support and see the garden and the bench that was specially flown in from Italy and craned into position… this is no ordinary garden! It starts around 11.30am on Saturday the 28th June. I’m going!
And for those who do not know this area…
Hornsey Park Road is a popular road with 3 very sought after roads just off of it, The Avenue N8, Ravenstone Road N8, and Malvern Road N8. Malvern Road also has a popular road called Park Ridings leading off of it. The Avenue, Ravenstone road and Malvern Road all lead into Alexandra Road. All these Roads offer superb access for transport with Turnpike Lane underground station (Piccadilly Line zone 3) and Hornsey mainline (into Moorgate) very close by.
