Here is another great example of what can be achieved when local folk communicate and come together. Local residents formed a group called ‘The friends of Fairland Park’ and have taken a public space on the Harringay Ladder, raised a staggering amount (approx £85.000) in funding, by approaching several charities and persuading Haringey Council to contribute the further funding required. All this collective local effort has resulted in the creation of a great ‘public space’ that locals are not only using, but are extremely proud of.
